Jay Wood
Division Chief Wood started his fire service career as an Explorer Scout with the Estacada Fire District in Estacada Oregon. Upon graduating high school, he joined the Boring Fire Protection District as a Volunteer Firefighter/EMT while attending college at Clackamas Community College. He was hired by Wasco Rural Fire Protection District (later became Mid-Columbia Fire and Rescue) in April 1990 as an Engineer/EMT. Chief Wood rose through the ranks of Lieutenant, Captain and finally Division Chief filling the role of Training Officer for 11 years before transitioning to the Fire Marshal position in January 2019.
